Discussion is opened about number of members in a Team

The technical Committee Precision Team Skating of the ISU has annouced the Proposal to limit the number of teammembers down to 20. This proposal is not sustained by a great number of coaches. The limitation would also decrease the variations in the choreography. The Proposal is motivated to establish Precision Team Skating as an Olympic Disciplin and to give a Chance to smaller Countries to send Teams to ISU-Championships.

The number of male skaters in a team shall be limited to 4. It should always be an even number (that is 2 or 4). A male skater shall only be exchanged by an other male skater if the number of male skater can stay the same number. If a male skater is exchanged by a female skater, obviously two skaters have to be changed to have an even number of male skaters.

Technical Niveau of Skating

The technical niveau of skating has increased. But for Mr. Ottavio Cinquanta only the medalists come to the niveau he wants to have in World Championships. Skating Skills must increase to avoid falls and accidents of skaters.
